Turning text documents into intelligent information resources

Unlike most common approaches in technical knowledge management, our methods view and treat textual data as the information itself, not as some anonymous, amorphous bulk material.

This shifts the focus from merely locating information to much more meaningful and intelligent, machine-based processing of the information itself:
  • related passages in different documents automatically link themselves to one another
  • output is presented to the user in widely customizable layout, format, and media
  • mathematical and statistical analysis can be performed on numerical information embeded in text documents
  • and much, much more!



We work from and with the textual information itself, instead of simply storing documents. And we seek to make the actual information contained in documents accessible instead of merely cataloging the whereabouts of the document.

It is our strict orientation towards meaningful and intelligent use of textual data that differentiates our approach and our methods fundamentally from those commonly applied today throughout the IT-industry.

We are convinced that our methods are ultimately much more organic, more intelligent, and much more efficient in dealing with textual information. Our approach is informed by experience, research, and a long scholarly tradition in areas such as qualitative data analysis, textual analysis, philology, semantics, and semiology.
